Eat Paleo at Saba To Go

The diet is usually referred to as the “Paleolithic Diet” referring to the Paleolithic or Stone Age era. It is also referred to as the “Stone Age Diet”, “Cave Man Diet” or the “Hunter-Gatherer Diet”.

The ‘back to basics’ food plan promotes the intake of wholesome, nutritious foods. Out go processed foods such as cereals, grains, dairy, refined sugar and salt. Instead, the plan focuses on the intake of healthy fats from nuts, seeds, olive oil and grass-fed meat, and encourages dieters to fill up on eggs, fruit and vegetables. The idea about this diet is to eat ingredients that were available to humans during the Paleolithic era.

Our good intentions are often scuppered by menus that fail to take our dietary requirements into consideration. This is why, in conjunction with authentic Thai and Vietnamese restaurant Saba To Go, I’ve created some delicious Paleo-friendly Thai dishes, which are wheat, dairy, soya and legume free – just how our cavemen ancestors liked it!

The Green Machine, featuring wok-fried broccoli, kale, Chinese leaves, Thai basil, sugar snap peas, cashew nuts and carrots, among other things, is designed to provide your body with the vitamins, nutrients and minerals it requires to stay healthy, while The Caveman, starring butternut squash, sweet potato, bok choy, carrot, broccoli, peppers and mushrooms are as tasty and satisfying as it is wholesome.

Not only do these dishes fit into a Paleo lifestyle perfectly, they’re packed with goodness, leaving you full, happy, and utterly free from the feelings of guilt and discomfort which too often follow dining out or ordering in.

If you’re considering embarking on a Paleo diet, or you’re already adhering to health-enhancing Paleo plan, get yourself down to Saba To Go and sample the delights on offer!
